Check engine light is on not throwing an code. Knocking coming from engine, oil level is good.

I just posted in another 5th Gen thread possible issue is if you filled recently at a station that drew down tanks, could be the sediment got stirred up and you pulled some gunk into your fuel system. Not sure how accurate this might be, but share in case it helps to replace fuel filter or clean out injectors. Good kuck

Took my truck to a dealership and was told that my engine was misfiring in piston 3.

Uh-oh. #3 is notorious for valve lifter failure. Do not drive it further until confirmed - if this is the cause, you should be under warranty and not out $4,500 for a valve train replacement or god forbid a new engine (cam chunks wiping out the motor).
