I have a spot on mine too...But it is in a slight indention where something hit it...I assume the chrome chipped on impact.

My 2017 Bighorn had rust spots on both corners of the back bumper, with about 20,000 miles on it. The dealer replaced the bumper under warranty, no questions asked.

Road salt is doing that. Hose off your truck before parking every day.

I think I’m going to stop at the dealer to at bare minimum have it documented. The rest of the truck seems fine, including the front bumper. Maybe I just got a bad rear bumper.

Orange colored spots on a new vehicle are/is usually rail dust (small bits of iron picked up by rail during transport from the factory to the dealer).

I am pretty sure that this is what it is. It looks like iron deposits.
I use Iron-X for those. If you're not familiar with the CarPro line of car products, you should be. They are amazing products.

ya-get it documented-I live in Ontario and they salt the roads like crazy and use a brine, the 2012 bumpers are still perfect-I do wax them in the fall with a spray wax and go to Krown every year and touch up with fluid film spray can on the underside of bumpers as well as underhood areas. Doesn't take long on a nice fall day. I don't think you should see that on a brand new truck when I don't on a 7yr old one-even if it can be buffed out-will likely keep coming back unless it is just a one time rail dust.

I bought a used '19 Big Horn (with 8K miles) on the internet from a dealer in Marlette, Michigan. I thought I had made a tremendous deal on the truck until my daughter drove it back home to Colorado. Once she arrived I was amazed to see all of the rust (or rail dust, whatever it is) spots over the entire truck. Although she drove it back during decent weather in March the truck literally had rust spots on every piece of chrome attached to it including the wheels. I took it to the local Dodge dealer in Fort Collins, and they poo-pooed my disgust stating that Dodge didn't really put actual chrome onto the components but that it was a plastic composite. I looked at the guy like he was drunk since I have NEVER seen a piece of plastic rust before. Anyhow, the Service Advisor didn't offer to remedy the problem so I guess I will have to escalate with.......someone else associated with Dodge higher up on the food chain.

I just found this on my bumper last week. Stopped at the dealer a few days later and they set me up an appointment for a new bumper they paint and a loaner car while in.

Hi,my 2019 classic start having a bubble on the left fender,that's means is coming from inside out ,went to the dealer, and they are willing to fix it,is kinda surprise coza I have the extra rust proof done by them at the time I purchased the truck,they give me a written warranty till 2047 lol.
