2020 2500 to 2024 3500

Hey guys I’m thinking of trading my 2020 2500 for a new 2024 chassis cab and put a dump body on it. Both trucks are tradesman’s. I did upgrade the steering wheel to a nice leather one from a higher level trim truck. I also upgraded the screen to the 8 inch from the little tradesman crappy one.

Would these swap over to the 2024? I assume so but want to be sure.

Anything real changes from the 2020 2500 to 2024 3500?

I think the big change in the HD line up happened with the '25 model year as there is an ZF 8spd behind the Cummins. The 4500 and 5500 use a different transmission version from the 3500s.
The extra gears make a significant difference in how the trucks tow/haul, definitely worth making the leap if the financial situation allows.

Both truck are the 6.4. My 2500 has the 8 speed and it a really nice transmission. I’m hoping that the 6 speed in the 3500 isn’t bad. The price on the new 24 is like 15k off msrp. I think the 26 was only a grand or two. The 24 comes with the Aisin AS66RC.
