2020 Power Wagon Console Swap

I have a 2020 Power Wagon with a jump seat. I'd like to swap it for a center console. I have seen a few different forum posts on here in regards to this but none with substantial information.

What truck model can I get a center console from that will fit in my PW? Also, what is the difficulty in doing this? I was told that the center console would have to be welded?

You'll need a center console from a 2019+ HD Ram. That will fit into your 2020 PW 2500.
You can't use a center console from a 1500 as there is a difference between the 1500 and 2500 consoles.
The 2500 has a cut out in the middle of the console to get over a small hump in the floor. The other thing with the 2500 is the rear bolt holes are the console are in a slightly different location.
The 1500 consoles tend to be a lot cheaper the the 2500 because more are available.

Last thing you'll need is wire extensions for the main console harness and the USB data line. You must plug in the USB data line or the USBs in the new console won't work for charging or data transfers.

What would be the best course of action to accommodate my floor shifter? I saw another poster cut a access spot in the side of the center console where the side cubby is.

Might be able to fairly easily swap in the button style 4wd setup that the power wagons have that come with the center council? Would probably need more than just a wiring harness and switches though. Not sure on that.

A lot of people think thats neutering a “real truck”…but the truth is there is still electronics involved to get the truck in 4wd even with the floor shifter.

Other option would be cutting out a big access panel in the side of the council. With some creativity that could look good when done.

Is your jump seat black leather and does it have heated rear seat bottons ???
i have a few hd consols black leather would need to have the above before i would swap

Yea mine is black leather with the rear heated seat buttons. Where are you located?
