Hello everyone!
I keep holding out for the 2020 Regular Cab, new body style. Do you think we will see one?
I already have the shortbed "Classic" and was hoping to upgrade to the new body style.
Thanks to all!

Nope.

I don't know why/how RCs have gone by the wayside*, other than that 1/2 tons have turned into cars and "everyone" wants four doors on their car. If you want a RC you must be a "worker" in which case you must actually want a 3/4 ton. So get one. But no one who's a "worker" would want a short box, so if you want a RC you also get an 8' box on your 3/4 ton+.

Last weekend my wife and I attended a wedding where the bride arrived in a Model T pickup (pretty much original, for all practical purposes if not in fact). I was kind of amazed, comparing it to my truck. In fact, I had just recently bought a 6x4 Gator, and the bed on that is pretty much the same size. Not to mention the payload of the Gator is 1600#, or nearly identical to my '15.

Long story short - pickups have become "people transporters".

*product availability is based on consumer demand.

This is the feature specs from Dodge. They show a regular cab but with the 8' bed in the 2500 and 3500 trucks.

Thanks! Where did you find this info on the Dodge/RAM site? I've been hoping that 2020 model year RAM 2500 info would show up soon since we're planning to order one.

Curious about where that information is also. The Ram build and price website only shows 2018 and 2019 models.

You won’t see one until 2024 at the earliest. Classic body style is currently slated to run though 2023.

I emailed Dodge customer service asking when the 2020 2500's were going to be available to order and they sent me a spec sheet with all that info. So it's directly from Dodge.

I think Ford is the only one of the big 3 with a new generation 1500 RCSB

They said late 4th quarter. I would guess December sometime.

You can get the 2500 and 3500 in the Regular Cab. The 1500 is not. The HD is based on the 4th gen, it was just a frontend redesign and taillight change. That's the reason the new taillights from a HD will fit the 4th gen trucks. I do believe it is in long bed only, though.
