I want to add bed lights but don't need them to be like the factory installed. I have the switch that fits the space for it, plan to tap power from the trailer hitch battery terminal, but need lights. I see many for the 2016-18 models but am not sure if the mounting holes are the same as mine in my 2021 2500. Does anyone know if the mounting holes for the lights are the same? Looks like the light connector hole is off center in the 2016-18 lights while my mounting hole is centered on the bolt holes. Pictures would help.

Update:
The holes for mounting the bed lights ARE the same for the 2016 and 2021 RAM. I bought the bed light kit for the 2016 (lights, cable, and hardware). Spliced into the battery and ground from the 7 pin trailer plug and wired the power through a switch. Didn't use most of the cable that would normally run to the front but used the plugs and wires for both lights.

It's not surprising to me that they are the same. HD Rams are still using 4th gen sheet metal. Just to clarify for others though, the bed light kit isn't the same for 2016 and 2021 Ram 1500's.

Nice job. I’ve got so the stuff to add lights to mine, just haven’t gotten around to doing it.
