Looking to see if anyone has had this issue before, and if so, what was done to fix it.

I was driving and the truck completely shut off on me (not auto start stop). I pulled to the side of the road. About 10 seconds later it started up, and then 5 seconds later it shut down again. It did this cycle about 6 times before I exited the truck.

After about 10 minutes I went back to the truck but it wouldn’t start at all. It felt as though the auto e-brake was activated also.

A few minutes later I was able to start it, I drove 2 houses down and it shut off again and started the on/off cycle again. My wife came to pick me up so I decided to try the truck with her FOB but I had the same result. The truck does have the remote start option.

After this, I had it towed to the dealership. I’ve never had issues with the truck before, and it has 20,000 miles on it. 2 days before this happened, the dealership did the oil change, tire rotation, and cabin air filter change. That shouldn’t have anything to do with things, but thought I’d mention it.

Any thoughts on what could be going on?

Dunno, only thought is a Battery/Ground Cable somewhere is loose. Ie., Positive/Negative loose on battery or ground bad somewhere.. Really tho sounds more like an on/off ground issue, ie., loose cable-broken-burned cable. BUT this is Pure Internet Guessnosis.

Wat eva it is, please report back on diagnosis and repair by Dealership, since a 21, should be under warranty.

Maybe a faulty push button starter switch?

I’ll definitely report back. I just got a call and said they believe it’s the starter switch. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Got the truck back, and it was the starter switch that went bad. No issues the past 2 days driving it.

8 months later and my truck won’t start. FOBs won’t do anything, including lock or unlock the vehicle. The truck won’t even acknowledge a FOB is close. Lights will come on.

It was towed to the local dealership and they were hoping it was due to the recall, but the recall work didnt fix the issue.

The dealership said it may be a couple weeks before they can get to it, and they don’t have a loaner vehicle program. I contacted RAM customer care and put in a request. Hopefully it gets approved because I can’t be without my vehicle for that long, and I hate that my truck is giving me problems again.

When you took it to the dealer the first time, what did they say/do? Did it just now start giving you problems again or did you have the problem during these last 8 months?

They changed the starter switch last time, and I haven't had any issues since then. Based on what's going on with it (FOBs not working at all to lock/unlock, start, etc.), I believe it could be the RF Hub. That seems to be a common item that causes these issues according to other posts on here.

RAM Customer Care did call today and offer to reimburse me up to $65/day for a rental vehicle. I wish that would pay for a comparable truck to rent since I use my truck as a truck every day, but I'll be coming out of pocket quite a bit to get a comparable vehicle. At least it's something.
