Hey everyone thanks in advance. Yep I just registered here and just bought my 2021 Ram 2500 6.4 and love it! I've put about 250 miles on it not towing and can't seem to get out of the 11-11.9 average mpg range on the highway? That sound about right? Not a huge deal as I'll be using it to tow my Race Rig. Please share any MPG averages you have for your similar 2500 6.4, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

2017 avg 12.5-15 city / hwy, with 3.73 axle gears, 20" tires, all terain, 6 speed auto trans. Switching from all-season highway to all terrain dropped my mileage 1 mpg.

2019 6.4 with 3.73 gears. I will show around 18 on highway. I never average that because I end up having a bunch of town driving too. I probably average around 13 or a bit more with overall mixed driving. I have 17k miles on it now. It started doing better around 10k.

you are way too new to even look at mpg yet. Run several tanks through to get a real idea. I have over 13,000 miles on my 2020 PW with 35's and have done speedo correction via AEV snap and get 14-16 mpg consistently.

Highest I've ever seen on the lie o meter in my 2016 6.4. That was after 3 hours driving county roads back home from Iowa 2 weeks ago. Just had gotten back on the interstate. With my 6 speed with 3.73s 55-60 mph is the sweet spot. I rarely ever do any city driving and usually get 16 in the summer and 13-14 in the winter.

First highway trip, less than 500 klms on the clock when I left. Running 91 Octane with air temp of 75 F, it was at 18.1 mpg part way round the loop, got to 18.3 by end of loop. 2500 Laramie crew long box, 18" Firestone ATs, 6.4 with 3.73s.

Agreed it is too early to get a good read. Mine is a 2018 with 4.10's and I have the 6 speed so won't be quite as good as you would get but as said, alot depends on driving style. Look at the bottom of my post at my fuelly. I am averaging about 12.1 over about 15,000 miles and that includes about 700 miles of towing ~ a 9000lb trailer. My EVIC typically reads about .5 higher than my hand calculated but has been as far off as being .5 better than my EVIC read to 2 MPG worse than the EVIC read.
I typically see about 12.0 around town and about 16.5 on the highway but I am typically around 70MPH. If I backed it down a little I'm sure I could get better. Towing 9000lbs I get about 8.0MPG or so

Thanks everyone, just trying to see what to expect? Right now I have stretched it from averaging 11.9 to 13mpg. I'm hoping it will get a little better, I've only had it 1 week. Love the truck so far!

I had mine averaging in the 16-17 mpg range after a long highway road trip (not towing). More like 12 mpg city driving. After 4,000 miles total (about 1,600 of that towing a camper), averaging 12.5-13 mpg overall. A good mix of highway, city, towing, etc... Good luck and enjoy your truck!

I have a 2021 Ram 4X4 Big Horn, 6.4L, 4.1 AR, 6.4 bed, 2998 Payload, 4000 miles on the Odometer. On the highway I've been averaging around 13.5mpg, around town 10.5-11.5 based on my driving habits and level of frustration with the traffic. Pulling my 25' Airstream I get 9-10.5mpg depending on the terrain.

No lie. Getting 14.2 in town with some country road driving. On the road the best I’ve done was 18.4 going from ATL to Indy driving 75 - 80. No load. Now that was what the truck mileage thing said. Love the truck. 3.75 gears.

I have the same 2021 rig you have, with 4.10 gears. I think my highway average is close to 18 and around town more like 12-13. We just finished a 7,000 mile trip pulling about 10,500 lbs (loaded 5th wheel) and I got about 9-9.5 mpg, better on flat roads and worse on big climbs. To be honest, after the first few days of the trip I stopped keeping track because it can drive you crazy! :) The 2500 weighs almost 7,000 lbs and it just ain’t gonna give you eye popping mileage. Great truck though!
