Correction, pics are of the Lower Falls, signal is weak here and wouldn’t load everything.

Those look pretty robust! Good job on the deck too, hate it when people just nail stringers to a joist or band board :)

Winter's are hard on the deck stain. Probably need to redo that this year.

Springs were super easy.

Unloaded ride height is the same. New ones are 17mm thick, stock ones 15.5mm.

Level enough for a test drive.

As a follow up to my earlier post I finally got the trailer weighed on my way to the campground, at the same place I got the truck done.

My total was 12940. Subtract 5835 for the truck leaves 7105 for the trailer. I estimated 7200. I was really close.

Looks like my prep is going to get a 2nd mortgage to get fuel haha
It cost my wife $84 to fill her Journey. It cost me $70 and I was a little under a 1/2 tank. We're just about to hit $5 a gallon.

Getting ready for our next trip. I'll be installing solid steps tomorrow to replace the old folding steps where the mount location weld broke. Gas is 5.30 here. I rarely drive my truck these days as a result... just for camping.

You're going to like those new steps. There are pros and cons to them but the pros outweigh the cons.

If you're looking for rugs we bought these for ours. They are thick and a better quality than the regular wrap around universal rugs. They are worth the extra money to me. The rugs are sold individually not as a set. Make sure you get the right rugs. The Lippert Solid Steps and the MORryde Step Above steps are different sizes.

ya we about to tow our trailer about 850 each way for a few days of camping in colorado. looking at 4.50-4.70 along the way. going to be mostly uphill so expecting about 8 mpg. oh well, it is what it is. will probably change the rest of our summer travel plans to shorter/closer locations.

I can already tell I'll like em. Install was simple. Thanks for the links on the rugs. I don't think I'll get them yet but it's something to think about.

We’re here for 8 nights. The round trip is still cheaper than flights, rental car, and sleeping arrangements. Regular gas in Victoria today is $2.319….

Funny thing; towing, the 3.6 is getting the exact same mileage as the previous 6.4 did.

Glad to not be camping right now. We are getting a months worth of rainfall in two days.

Hopefully it ends tonight as predicted or we will have some issues.

We’ve covered a lot of ground since we were in the Mich UP earlier this month. Got thru Wisconsin, Minn and most of ND. Pics are from Theodore Roosevelt Natl Park yesterday, headed to Montana in the
morning. I usually get 9-9.5 towing but it went down to 7.5 on I94 the other day…strong westerly headwinds and lots of uphills :( I’ve become numb to gas prices, just can’t worry about it and enjoy the trip at the same time.76C98A45-C654-4385-84C9-48F2D3AA0B4B.jpegB13CDFE3-C455-4202-A602-2B5278616CBE.jpegF94A8432-30F9-4064-9921-886B99A1F82A.jpeg83260521-92E9-4FC7-B91D-E0BBE4701C3B.jpeg
