I ordered my truck Red Tungsten 10/23/2024
2/19/2025 Ram set me an email that my order was cancelled, I contacted my dealer and they found that they order had been cancelled and a new order number was issued. Other than the order number the only change was to my scheduled date now 2/13/2025. Numerous times I have asked why??? They say that the Ram area rep has not responded to their request or that the rep stated that manufacturer has not responded to him.

I cannot believe that no one knows why our truck production has not started. I think that someone is BS ing me. It is also odd that all the research on the internet has no answers. I know that Tungsten's are being delivered.

Find one at another dealer, if so inclined.

That is odd. Did you receive a VON from the dealer when your order was placed?

Did you sign a purchase contract? Did you receive a vehicle order number from the dealer?

It sounds as though your dealer did not have an allocation and was stringing you along.

Our local dealer has a red one in the showroom with the Indigo Sea Salt interior, I just saw it today. Sticker is $91800, they are asking $86800.

For a 1500??? If so wow! At these prices I'll keep my 2500 until I croak. Most major repairs (even engine & trans) are cheaper than a new truck.

It could be as simple as a supplier who committed to having vehicle content on the assembly line would miss the date, so the build was rescheduled. Why the order number was canceled and reissued, well, that answer would have to come from the RAM rep, who has an understanding of the internal ordering processes.

Each Dealership has an allotment on new Orders

Like in 2019, my local dealership had an allotment of 30 Rams a month.
If they were to get, say 32 orders for Rams
Only 30 Rams would be dropped off, the other 2 Rams would be first on the Order list for the following month.

Another thing, IF you were to place an Order for a Ram on the 8th of March your Order would go into Ram Headquarters on the 10th & at the same time, it would be given an April Build Date.

Once Headquarters sends your Dealership a Vehicle Order Number, you could almost count on your Ram showing up 3 months Later.

I received my Vehicle Identification Number within days of the VON

.............................................................

By the way, if you place your order with a Sales Person that has worked at your Dealership for a long time, they can TRACK your order, once it leaves the Assembly Plant in the USA.
Newer Sales Persons, do not have pull with the Assistant Sales Manager, so chances are, they will not be able to Track your Order
The Dealership May be able to track Ram HD models, once the Ram crosses into the USA at Eagle Pass, Texas.

I ordered the 2025 Tungsten on Nov 13th. Got an email on that same day with the VON info.

The only options I ordered were Ivory White paint, Bed Utility Group, Electric Locking Rear Axle, and the Multi-function Tailgate (which I really love).

Four days later got an email with a link to the order status web page that listed the VIN.

On December 18th I got an email from the dealer stating it was complete and would begin shipping 'soon'.

On December 28th I got an email from the dealer stating that it was on the lot and sent me some photos.

Took delivery on December 31st.

So mine went rather quickly.

The delay may be a good thing for you. RAM decided not to include the ParkSense Active Park Assist (auto parking) system even though it is listed as Standard Equipment. No mention of this during the buying process. It was only told to me after I was going through the owner's manual trying to get it to work, that the dealer informed me it is not there, that RAM removed it and nothing will be offered as compensation. Other forums say it is listed as 'late availability'. But the document I have does not state that. Maybe yours will have it?

The very next day after I took it home, I had the check engine light come on with derated motor functions. Towed to dealer on Jan 2nd. Got it back about 10 days later where they could not find a reason it happened and could not reproduce after clearing codes. Got it home and the same thing happened again, plus had surging RPMs. Towed back the next day. They had it for 23 more days, driving it several times and could not reproduce the issue. Did a software update. I have since had it for almost four weeks now and that problem has been fine. Have 1500 miles on it now.

It does give intermittent issues with the front ParkSense system saying to wipe the sensors but they are not dirty and wiping them does not clear the error. After a few starts it seems to work for a while.

Hope yours goes well.
