Hello fellow Tungsteners. Do you gyys have fears of the light colored leather getting stained? Are you considering any kind of leather sealer such as a ceramic coating or something similar? I’ve been looking into it, but don’t know enough to tell what’s real and what’s snake oil.

I also have the same questions regarding ceramic paint coatings. I don’t mind paying for quality, but hate getting taken by sales hype.

I know that it is a little bit of a drive but I'd recommend "512 Detail" in Kyle(just south of Austin). I have used him for over 10 years and have never seen a detailer more knowledgeable than he is. Check out his page on Facebook for examples of his work and his contact information.

Wax it once a year with Nu Finish maybe twice. After every wash wipe it down with Bead Maker. Always looks in good shape, has a protective coating on it, and is always easy to clean.

I personally think money spent on this and a good PPF place is money well spent. JMO

I’m not sure how RAMs leather compares to the leather used in my wife’s Lexus, but hers is a very light tannish color and is now nearing 5 years of age and still looks brand new. Doesn’t even have wear wrinkles in the drivers boosters. I just use a leather or vinyl cleaner on it when I see any soiling and it comes right back. Some leathers have a urethane top coating which I would assume makes it harder for leather conditioners to penetrate. But the leather in my RAM seems of a more traditional type. I do have a set of cheap, elastic fit covers that I throw on the seats if I’m working in the yard or on friends cars and need to get materials or parts in the process.

Ordered a Tungsten in November and took it home New Years Eve. Had some issues that required it to be towed back to the dealer on 1/2/25. Got it back last week. But that is another story, if anyone really wants to hear about it let me know and I will make another thread.

But I am here today to ask those of you that have the 2025 Tungsten some questions. As I am just now getting to know this really nice truck, the electronics can be quite daunting. So here goes...

1. ParkSense Automated Parking System. While it is listed as standard equipment for a Tungsten (as per the Buyers Guide on their website), I do not seem to have it. There is supposed to be a button on the top right of the Uconnect faceplate to activate it, but I do not have it. Anyone gotten this to work?
2. Turn signal-activated blind-spot view. As per the vehicle recourses link that my salesman sent me it states "Activating a turn signal turns on a live rear-facing view of a driver’s blind spot" Mine does not do that. Anyone get this to work?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Well I got info from another forum.

The turn signal activated blind spot view requires the tow package mirrors. No mention of that in owner's manual or the website.

Also found out that RAM removed the self-parking system from the Tungsten. No mention why. But it is still listed on the website and the Mopar YouTube video is still there giving a demo in a 1500.
