Hey guys, I'm considering biting the bullet on a 2026 Tungsten 1500. I am a little concerned about the electrical gremlins being reported, but it seems like the engine is actually pretty well built. $92,535 MSRP, they are discounting it to $68,654. Seems like a damn good deal. What do you guys think?

Nearly $25k off MSRP. That sounds like a great price to me. I'd be more comfortable with a 2026 than with a 2025 to be honest. I don't buy the first model year of a new design or a redesigned model. There's a risk with any new car or truck, however small. That's what the factory warranty is for. If I gave in to fears of the possibility of having problems I'd never buy a new car or truck lol.

I bought a ‘26 Tungsten May 17th. I have almost 9500 miles as of today. I have had 3 check engine lights come on in that time period. I noticed no changes and each time it went away after about 6 drive cycles (over 2 days)
I was working away from home so I didn’t have an opportunity to get it read at any dealership.
The ‘26s come with the 10/100,000 powertrain warranty, ‘27s will not.
I just recently got the OTA update and now my iPhone can be my digital key.
You must activate the Ram Connect Wi-Fi Plus pkg to activate remote engine start/stop via the Ram App. (Nothing to do with the key FOB remote start, that’s always available) You get 3 month free trial, then $15.99/month to keep it (plus some other features)
If you plan on changing the included bed cover with an aftermarket cover, you will find that “most” require the silver bed rails.
One thing I hadn’t thought about until a recent job where I went off road, was there is no easy way to mount front tow hooks.
Over all I think this is the best ( #6 ) Ram truck I’ve owned. The HO engine is awesome, and this is coming from a V8 guy! Just don’t love the $$$ of the gas!!!

Does anyone know about any good tunes for the Hurricane? I hear they are out there.

I decided to get a RAM, but not the Tungsten. It was a beautiful interior and a very nice ride, but I really wanted a different color. They only had one on the lot, and it was white. Even with the discount, it was still more than I wanted to spend. Very tempting, though. I was back and forth on the engine choice, and although the SO and HO motors are very capable and powerful, I just found myself moving to the V8. It’s not particularly fast, but it suits my needs. Also, finding the color I wanted in a model with very low mileage and no recalls was difficult. Very happy with the purchase. $17k off MSRP.

This is my first RAM. I am excited and maybe one day I will put a supercharger on her.

You need to search hard but it’s definitely possible. I just bought a Limited with the same discount.
Use Car Gurus or Visor vin.
I used Car Gurus to search within 500 miles. On their site you can search by trim and color and get MSRP, dealer price, VIN, stock number and direct link to dealer site for that particular truck.
I ended up with about 2 dozen trucks
Then I started to call work on pricing and ultimately trade value
Come October you won’t be able to do this as dealers will only be able advertise MSRP
So do this while you can

Your post confuses me a bit. I thought you were shopping for a new truck, not a used one. But your comment about wanting "a model with very low mileage" would indicate you bought used. Which would make MSRP irrelevant.

That's a beautiful color. My daughter just bought a 2026 Rebel in that color and it's gorgeous.

Sorry, I was close to getting the new Tungsten, but I did not like the color. Even though the price was rather good off of MSRP, it was still a little bit more than I wanted to spend. I did buy new. I just got a Lamarie instead of a Tungsten

I just bought mine for 70ish, off an MSRP of somewhere in the 92k range. There were a couple on the lot. I went in to trade my 2022 Limited for a 2026 Limited, but by the time the discounts were done, the Tungsten was only a couple grand more... so I went with the Tungsten.

No front tow hooks on a Tungston. I thought they were pretty much standard on higher end RAMs.

As noted above be careful on the bed covers. If you go to some of the hard covers you have to have a set of rails that are hard to get and $ !
I had a hard cover from Undercover I liked but it wouldnt work with Ram Boxes.

I too have had three Longhorns. I am on the fence tho about the latest pattern inserts of seats. My 21 didn’t have these. There is also a fair bit of cloth? material in these “premier leather seats”

I was concerned about this myself. I had a 21/22/and 23 Longhorn and loved the seats. I got a 24 Limited with the black seats and hated them. Very uncomfortable to me. I got a 25 longhorn with brown saddle leather and what appeared to be "cloth" inserts in it. I was concerned but after a year I can tell
