Anyone know if the little chrome thing can be removed? If not I’m painting it black then making a spacer on 3D printer to take up the gap.

I plan to just use a black o-ring. Just have not made it to Lowes yet to find one the correct size.

That is called a spanner nut. If you remove it, hold onto your antenna post. If it falls inside the fender, it would suck to feed it back into place.
