It depends on a multitude of factors. Driving conditions equal... below is the average mpg I got on all of my 2500/3500s (pre = with emissions... post = after emissions "repairs").
2012 Ram 2500 SLT
6.7, 68RFE, 3.73 gearing
(Pre)Avg MPG: 14
(Post) Avg MPG: 18
2016 Ram 3500 Laramie
6.7, 68RFE, 4.10 gearing
(Pre)Avg MPG: 16
(Pre) Avg MPG: 18
2018 Ram 2500 Laramie Megacab (current truck)
6.7, 68RFE, 3.42 gearing
(Pre)Avg MPG: 17.5
(Post) Avg MPG: 19.6
These numbers are an average of city/hwy driving empty. On my 2018 now, I can squeak out 23mpg. On my 3500, the best I ever saw was ~20 mpg. That was 70mph on a 5 hr mostly flat interstate trip.
