Have a 2022 2500 RAM and find the factory suspension very firm. It does not have the off road package. I had a 1500 with the Bilstein's. Has anyone replaced the standard shocks on the 2500 and put on Bilstein's? How is the ride? Surely I am not the first to want to do this.

My understanding is that the Bilstein's are a 'firm' to 'firmer' shock.

Yes. Is your truck a diesel?
A better alternative would be to move up to a fox 2.0 shock (bigger truck bigger shock) @Nick@GotExhaust can set you up with a set of 4. We swap them out at my shop all the time. Also you’ll want to air down the factory most likely has your tires at 80 psi

I agree with all of the above answers. Bilsteins are a fairly firm riding shock. I do not think they will offer a big enough change in ride. The Fox shocks ride much smoother. A bigger shock body will certainly deal with the weight of the truck better. Also remember your coils are are stiffer than what a 1500's would be so the shocks are only part of the equation but will for sure help
