i just realized i put the wrong storage tires and wheels on one of my 3rd gens. Its a 4x4 and i accidentally put two 275 60 20 on front and two 275 55 20 on the rear. My back hurts so i dont want to swap them again. Would i do any damage if i drove it to a shop across town (maybe 5 miles) so they can swap them out for the right set of wheels/tires i have. It has the anti spin rear differential if that makes any difference. i figured id be fine as long as i dont put it in 4x4?
Thoughts?

Just don't use the 4 wheel drive and you should be ok.

Back in a different life, I once encountered a Ramcharger that came from the factory with a 2.92:1 in the rear and a 2.87:1 in the front. On snow or even wet roads it wasn't noticeable BUT get on to dry pavement and every 3/10 of a kilometer you would swear that you were rear ended by a Transport truck. That was during the bad years in the early 1980s.

You'll probrably be OK driving it a short distance (About 5 miles from what you said), it's when you have two different sizes on the same differential/end of the vehicle you may have to worry about it messing things up - And even then it's a matter of how different they are in height to each other as in worn vs new - Height will change (Decrease) as a tire wears and that's only natural.
If the 60's are worn and the 55's are fairly new, that should make them close enough you won't have a problem at all doing that and the fact they aren't that different to start with is good anyway.
Just don't use the 4 wheel drive and you should be ok.
THIS.
Since we're talking about different ends of the vehicle with a difference vs the difference being on the same axle set/differential, it's fine to do that.

Chrysler used a 2,92:1 back in that era and I thing GM used a 2.87:1. The axles were made by the same company, Dana, I think. Apparently one, or perhaps more axle assemblies took a trip to the wrong pile. It was interesting alright. The Engineers at Chrysler didn't believe me but changed their tune when the ring an pinion landed on their desk.
