Howdy, brand new, less than 300 miles RAM Tungsten owner. I have iPhone 17. Connect to Uconnect and all is OK. Get in truck next day and iPhone and Car Play are not connected. Other days, No Problem. What is up, why does the RAM keep dropping the connection to the iPhone? Driving me NUTS! Delete the device and still no connection. Plug into UBS port, problem gone, except I did not buy this truck to to plug in and out all the time. Is there a fix????

I wouldn't be so quick to blame it on the radio. Each phone is different even though many people have the same brand and model. My recommendation is start fresh with both. Wipe the truck radio, disconnect the battery for a bit, then reconnect. At same time, remove all your apps from the phone and then pair and see how things go. If it stays connected for simple things like phone and text, start adding apps back one at a time. Different apps can cause weird things to happen. You might want to find a solid Apple forum or two and chat with people there about similar issues. They would know more about that side of the house. I have seen this with Android auto and the Google platform where one app has access to things and doesn't play well with the overall architecture.

When I had my iPhone 15 my 2025 Ram U-connect seemed fine. My wife's was hit or miss if it would connect. I had the smaller screen. When we both switched to iPhone 17's, mine became hit and miss also. I got rid of the truck before I could figure it out.

If I where to guess at a cause, I would look at your WiFi signals available and see if there is a strange one showing, to project to. The first connection is VIA Blue Thooth, then switches to a Peer to Peer (Truck radio to iPhone) WiFi.

If there is one get the name of it. Next delete the truck from your phone, and the phone from your truck.

On your phone got into settings WiFi , upper right corner hit Edit. Delete the name of the trucks Wifi, along with all the other ones you know you will not use again.

Redo the connection.

If that don't work, then I am out of ideas.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro. Would cut on and cut off CarPlay on my 2026 tungsten. Did a factory reset on the Uconnect. Remember, it is a full reset. But have not had any problems in the last 3 to 4 days.
