Decisions decisions. I can get the Wild Peak 295/70/17 from Pep Boys on a Buy 3 get 4th free deal. Or the 285 70 17 for full price. I don't know why they have it set up like that but it is. The 285 is a D rated tire while the 295 is an E. The 285 dimensions are 32.7 and 11.6 vs the 295 33.1 11.8.
I am leveled with a 2.5" RC kit and have the 1.75 spring spacer in the rear. I do not think I will have a rubbing issue with either tire. Am I thinking correctly? Or will the 295 be an issue on a stock tire?
Next question: I do not plan on running either of these tires at max pressure if I get them. Will running them at a much lower pressure effect the amount of mileage I get out of them? I know my truck is really light compared to what both tires are rated for. I will probably run them at 40 to 44.
Thanks!
