2nd gen audio build

Well guys /gals it is that time . I have always had audio in every truck but this one .. well I ordered my stuff .

As of now I have replaced the doors speakers with rockford fosgate components and a clarion HU .

As for the stuff I just ordered .. Kicker CRV 12" and Kicker ZX400.1 amp

As for the box :********: custom center console ... stay tuned

YUP , that 400.1 I have used before and like it .

Got the center console removed just a bit ago and I started getting my measurements for the box build . I am going sealed .

HUH? I have the stock infinity amp running the Rockford doors and they are awesome .
I am only amping the sub .

Definitely interested in the outcome of this. I had an under the seat downfire box in a previous truck and it was ok but left a LOT of room for improvement

This single sub will face the rear and will retain the OEM rear cup holders . The front of the box I am going to make a custom slot for the CB .

They may sound awesome, but the infinity amp is nothing special, your going to see a huge difference in the sound. What ohm are the stock speakers and what ohm and the new speakers.

An Ohm is the load rating. If you have the factory speakers in your car, they have a low Ohm requirement. Therefore any head unit (stereo) will be able to push them.

If you install anything else into your car speaker wise, you will change the Ohm requirement. You will know the requirement by referencing the speaker for a number followed by an omega sign. make sure the Ohm requirement of your speaker doesn't exceed the Ohm output of your head unit this could damage your head unit or speakers.

They may sound good now, but over time they may degrade if they arn't the same ohm.
