2nd gen drop shackle???

I was doing some reading and some people were saying that you could use a 2nd gen 2 inch drop shackle on the 3rd gen 1500 trucks to get 2 inches of lift. Has anyone tried this? If so would you recommend it and how much did it really raise the rear of your truck?

Im not too sure about that but i do have 2" 3rd gen lift shackles if youre interested

Where did you find them at and who are they made by if you dont mind me asking?

They came with my mcgaughys drop kit but theyre 2 inches longer than oem

Yea not to sure. From what I have found so far I need 2nd gen shackles to lift the rear but im still not a 100 percent on that. I can't seem to find a whole lot of info.

A 2nd gen drop shackle is the same as a 3rd gen lift shackle. The rear spring perches on the 2nd gens are backwards compared to a 3rd gen
