Should be. I pulled a fender, hood and core support from a 96 4x4 to put on a 98 4x2.

It depends, 1500 or 25/3500?

For the 1500’s, the gen 2 body style ran from 1994 to 2001.

For the HD’s, they continued the gen2 body for an extra year (94 to 2002).

Thanks all If anyone knows both trucks are 1500 The cab on the 2wd is a auto and other is a 5 speed do you think I can swap these pretty easy or not? I guess main thing can I bolt in the clutch pedal to the 2wd cab from the 4wd cab. The 4wd cab is not that bad just needs some new rockers and slight floor work so not sure which would be easier ? 2wd cab is rust free.

Yes you can. It’s finding the clutch and brake setup. It’s a single bracket that holds both pedals
The automatic pedal is wider than the manual pedal

Have one more question if anyone knows does the hump in center of cab unbolt or will I have to cut out 2wd floor to make room for 5 speed and transfer shifters ?

If I’m remembering correctly,
The transmission tunnels are the same, they both have the same large
Hole. There are different “cover plates” that bolt onto the tunnel. Should be able to just swap the cover plates.

To take this a step farther - in 1999 they changed the front fenders inner fender support behind the headlamp area for clearance for the second bulb in the Sport package headlamps. 99-01 (02 2500/3500's) can use any year headlamp and Sport headlamp units - 94-98's must modify the area behind the headlamps for the Sport units to fit.

So while the fenders do physically interchange - all years are not "identical".

well I got the truck it ended up being a 99 so I hope this is still going to work out . It had a rust free body so I hope to make it all come together if not may just Cruz it like it is runs strong and shifts nice.
