I have a 2012 ram 3500 with a 3 inch BDS lift. I want to put lt315/70r17 tires on it? Does anyone know if these will work? The dealer puts 305/70r17 tires on trucks with just a 2 inch leveling kit. I think those will look to small so I would like to step up to three 315.

for sure 35s. With the proper extra steps you can fit 37s so I would not go any smaller then 35s.

They will fit, but with stock wheels they will rub on your lower control arm at full lock
My girlfriend has 315s on her 05 2500 with a 2" leveling kit (had 35x12.5, they rubbed a hair more then 315s)
You will need a wheel with less then 5.5" backspace(5.5" will still rub with most tires)
