Has anyone had issues with the 6.4 Hemi and a throttle position sensor error on the EVIC with a check engine light? Driving home at highway speeds both of these came on and the truck would not maintain speed. The engine would bog and surge when on the gas.

I pulled over and shut it off and was able to continue home normally on restart. Prior to shutting it down, the truck would not idle as it wanted to surge and keep moving. CEL is still on but I was able to make it home and it ran normally.

Truck is a 2017 with 26,000 miles. Under warranty so it will be going to the dealer but I want to be educated on this before I go in.

I had problems with the pedal commander doing this to me. Took that junk off and sent it back. I haven’t had issues otherwise.

I have a 2015 6.4. Plenty of people having issues with them. I plugged mine in and within a week I got two different codes thrown, both jacked with my truck.

The first time I got one it didn’t want to go. I got the code sitting at a stop light and when it turned green the truck shuddered forward and maxed at about 15mph. Unplugged the PC in a parking lot and it ran fine, albeit the code was still up.

Cleared the code and reinstalled the PC thinking it was the setting or a fluke. A few days later while doing 40mph in traffic I got another pedal code. At the same time the accelerator felt like it got slammed to the floor this time and I almost ran into the guy in front of me. I had to ride my brakes for a bit until I could unplug the PC again.

That was two months ago and I haven’t had a problem since. It was definitely the PC.

Have you moved the throttle body valve by hand? Like while trying to seafoam the intake or clean the throttle body?

DONT EVER move the valve.

I failed to read that part I suppose. Mine gave me a pedal voltage CEL along with a “check accelerator pedal” message and red light.
I have not had an issue with my throttle body at all.

It wont show as a problem with the throttle body. If you move it manually it can mess up what position the PCM thinks it is actually at
