Brand new 2019 Tradesman crew cab as I proceed up a steep gravel switchback road..goes okay but transmission seems to almost go out of gear temporarily when I hit a rut. Is there a preferred way to keep this from happening? Should I go to tow/haul mode? Any tips?

Turn off traction control and keep your foot in it! When In doubt, throttle out.

Large bumps can easily cause your foot and your reactions to let off the gas and the heavy 1 ton suspension doesn’t like the off road bumps.
