37s with 3.21 gears

Listen , I've owned 9 4wd trucks in my life , jeep Dodge , ford & Toyota all of which I had 36" -44" tires on before I made a single payment on the vehicle , if you want to lift it , then lift it , at that point (LIFTED) work on making it the vehicle you want it to be .

Ifs and 37"s = bad idea .. even re gearing and upgrading parts will make it last a little longer but that is a lot of weight.. 35"s will look good and should be ok. I destroyed a ifs 1/2 ton on 33"s.. but my trucks army payvement princess"s.

If you destroyed an independent front suspension truck with 33s you( 1) ran the **** out of it (2) it was a Chevy

^ it was a Chevy.. lol But I won the 1/2 ton class for the truck pull.. but I had a budy who had a Ford F-150 all kinds of work done to beef up the ifs and when it came down to it he destroyed his ifs. with 37"s.. my circumstances were at 4,500 Rpms all the power transfers to the drivers tire.. and it hooked up.. ripped the half shaft apart, and put 4 different tears all through out the center section of the diff. After that I decided solid axel from now on lol. I have personally never seen a ram on 37"s out playing off road.. but as stated I have seen how week ifs on a ford and a Chevy are.

I wonder how bad the drop is on an 8 speed xsmn ? 1rst and 2nd gears ? I don't think it would be that bad .

I'm thinking ( w/o knowing th #s ) it would be comparable to or better than a 6 speed 355 rear end ? What say you ?

Ok well now we have a bit of a mix here...

Op's talking about reliability....I'm goin out on a limb here sayin I don't think he's gonna be rompin his truck causing his ifs to break. Like some have stated is what caused their issue.

Everyday driving....he will be fine. Yes...even with 37's and yes, even with ifs. His wheels aren't just gonna go Rollin down the highway from everyday normal driving.
