Hey all, I wanted to post progress pics of my 02 Quadcab 1500 getting fixed up and painted. I live in southern Mexico and this work was done by a local paint and bodywork master, nicknamed “Maestro”. The guy did an excellent job and I’m very pleased with the finished product.
I originally bought my truck in Honduras of all places. It was exported from the US back in 06 to Honduras and bought it from the second owner. I lived there for several years for work and drove to Mexico hauling a trailer full of our stuff. It took a beating with the intense sun down here and harsh roads. So I did a few upgrades and have been adding little by little ever since.
And yes, it was painted in a lot outside of “Maestro’s” house, no paint booth. I don’t know how he did it but no flaws in the paint.
Next is suspension as I’d like to replace the front coils, reinforce the leaf springs and get off-road quality shocks (as well as level it so it’s not a “penny-sniffer” anymore). Would love to hear recommendations on this.
Enjoy.
