C'mon guys I need help. This one little is stopping me from putting my truck back together.
I notice was leaking on to the ground. I look and it ended up being the ECT Sensor.
I let anti-freeze leak out enough where it's below the Sensor.
I got a new Sensor, but it doesn't want to screw in.
I don't want to force it because the intake is Aluminum.
Any ideas guys.

Different threads than what the old sensor has?

Either bore a larger hole and thread it for an adapter that has internal threads for the sensor or replace the manifold.

I had a similar problem on my 2011. There were 2 different sensors. 1 was a larger thread diameter than the other one. Best bet is to take the old one to the auto parts store and compare them.

Don’t force it! The brass will shear off and then you will have a bigger problem. Aszumilo has the right idea.
