Hello, this is my first time posting on this website but I own a 2006 w a 4.7l and I’m wondering how much horsepower my stock crank can handle, I’m planning on mounting a eaton m112 but I was wondering what else I should beef up if I plan on running 12-14 pounds of boost, for example head bolts, rods etc. any help is appreciated thank you.

Read THIS first, unless that's where you got the idea since the titles are oddly similar lol.

Yeah I’ve read almost everything I can on this topic lol, I feel like it’s a forgotten topic since all the threads are from 9+ years ago. And since performance parts are limited for this motor I was gonna keep the stock crank and just beef everything else up I’m just concerned ab the crank since I can’t find any aftermarket ones.

And you won't lol. You need a factory HO crank. Rods and pistons you can sort out later, but that's what you have to find. HO cams are nigh impossible to find nowadays but the 2008+ cams work in the older heads and are similar. HO heads are better than your stockers. The 08+ heads are better too but they are twin plug ignition so there's that pesky problem of figuring out how to fire the second one properly. Of course you could always buy a reman HO engine (as long as it truly has all the correct HO parts in it) and go with that. Would probably better as a whole since the whole engine was revised a bit (this is the Jeep summary, the only Dodges they made it into were some later Dakotas):

HO crank p/n is below:

There seems to be a few HO items on ebay right now (besides the linked items above):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-200...E-4-7L-HO-V8-Motor-188K-200-Core/223202571994
https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-04-Jeep...HO-Intake-Manifold-And-Camshafts/203175218015

Thing about boosting this particular engine, it's gonna cost more and parts will be harder to find. There are other blower options though:
Pretty sure you could adapt this fairly easily: https://www.andysautosport.com/products/sts__0308RAM57ST-NT.html
And: https://www.boostedtech.com/superchargers/dodge-ram/2000-2007-dodge-ram-4-7-liter-v8-supercharger/

Here is the 2004 Grand Cherokee parts book, will have HO part numbers in it for engine code EVC: https://www.mediafire.com/file/75mr..._Grand_Cherokee_Factory_Parts_Manual.PDF/file
This may also come in handy: http://www.wjjeeps.com/ho_engine.htm

Now after all that, what kind of power are you looking to make?

Thank you for the links they’re really helpful, I was planning on getting 400+hp to the wheels. I’m not sure if airram even got his numbers that high but I believe it’s possible. That’s where I got the idea from but his website doesn’t say much ab the gains after installing the m112.
