Im aware of the issues 4.7 has with power except maybe the 08 version. Mine is an 07 and ive always noticed that under normal driving when shifting into 2nd the rpm drops and its almost like it doesnt have the power to get through 2nd. Drop is definetly noticeable in my exhaust seeing as i havr a flowmaster 40. Once it climbs up and shifts the lack of power goes away in 3rd. Basically just seems like it doesnt have any balls on the low end unless i throttle up then it isnt noticeable. Is this normal for the 4.7 and how do i fix/improve?

I think mine moves pretty well all things considered. I have the same exhaust and I love it.
I tell ya one thing, when I go from the Ram to my Durango (5.2), the Durango feels like I'm dragging a boat behind it.

What's your tire size?
Also, you might a tuner on it for extra oomph.

I would get a tuner from Diablo and change the settings for the tranny and engine. I have the Intune from them for my daughters truck and have it tuned with the 87 octane tune. That seemed to wake it up. Plus using the transmission tune made it shift better and more responsively.
