Truck had heads pulled and valves reworked. Since putting it back together the truck is throwing a P0016 code. I replaced the sensor just in case something happened while it was out. Truck still throwing a code. Did not pull the timing chain cover when doing the job. Is this a tensioner issue? Or stretched or worn out chain?. I bought the truck recently and have not put many miles on it so not sure of condition prior to heads being pulled.

Did you tie up or check the timing chain location on the main sprocket off of the crank? I would think you'd have bigger problems than a code if you were off a tooth or if there was a lot of slack. How is it running? The chains should be tensioned automatically by oil pressure but there is a limit of course.
