Good morning.
I just put a crankshaft in a low mileage 5.7 because the oil cooler decided to fail and put all the oil in to the cooling system and ultimately spun a bearing at 37k. I replaced the timing chain and tensioner just because, and i am sure it is aligned right. Upon starting truck it seems to run great but I am getting a P0016 and P000B. I am using an Innova 5610 scanner. I attemped a crank/cam relearn and it failed repeatedly.
That being said, the scanner claims crank in sync and cam in sync. At the same time it is reading exh cam 1/crank difference -34.7.
Any idea what i may have missed? I would think an unplugged or damaged sensor or solenoid would give me a code saying so?
Hopefully someone here knows a lot more than me. I am much more well versed in the diesel world.
