I have a 2019 Ram Classic Big Horn.

I don’t see anyone with the AEV when I search. Mopar appears to be a Super Lift? BDS was my first choice when I started looking but I would love more info. Anyone have an opinion on the 4” offering from these companies?

Of the three I would chose Big *****, but I'm sure they are all quality kits. The Mopar kit will just be a Mopar labeled version of another Vendor's kit, and you usually pay extra for the Mopar Branding unless you have a in with your Mopar Parts guy :).

Not sure about the Big **** kit but BDS is the best off the shelf lift kit for the Ram 1500 from my understanding.

Yes. They actually used to advertise as Big **** Suspension, but started using the BDS moniker instead several years back... can't imagine why LOL

If you go ”Mopar”, save yourself a boat load of money and buy the kit from Superlift.........

And as JB1 stated, buy the 6” of either kit and leave the preload out of the front. The 6” kits net you better components for the rear but gets you the same 3” for the rear. The difference in price is like $100 -$200.

Little more info, when the original owner passed away, the company decided to tone down the name, hence BDS. They were worried about posters and advertisements with women and children coming into the shops, etc.

I just bought the BDS level with Fox 2.0 performance shocks and the BDS adjustable track bar for the front end. Should get installed next week once my wheels and tires arrive. Reason I went with BDS and Fox are the reviews and the no fine print warranty.

Not a single taker for AEV? Dang. Price the reason I am sure? The skid relocation and spindle design look pretty novel.

To be honest I’ve never looked into the AEV lift for the 1500 but I know the HD lifts are not all too popular amongst the hardcore powerwagoners. Yes I just made up powerwagoners... haha. Carli and Thuren are much more often recommended.

For a 1500 I’d likely chose the BDS lift.

Interesting. The appeal of the AEV was the fact you don’t cur the frame for a crossmember. But really. Who changes a truck back to stock when they sell them. Has to be very few.

The recommendation to set the 6” lift up without preload to get 5” is curious. It’s cheaper as well.
