ok cool. It's a pretty straightforward install. Only problem I had was my strut nuts were so rusted I could not get them off

Well, tomorrow is the day! Dropping the truck off at 6:30 in the morning to have the kit and Bilsteins installed all the way around. I do have a question though, would it be better to leave the shocks at stock height and run the top and preload spacers that the kit comes with? Or should I just run the preload spacer with bils at 2.1? Or just top spacer with bils at 2.1?

Run The Bils at Stock and use both spacers
Take lots of pics

Alright, kit is installed!! I am coming from a 2 inch level with the stock shocks/struts, so my opinions won't be coming from a truly stock height truck to this. However, the kit with the Bilsteins rides fantastic! I only drove about 15 miles from the shop back to the house, but from what I can tell from that drive it handles really well. The ride is a little firmer than with the level spacers/stock shocks, but it still feels pretty good. I still have to get an alignment, but right now my measurements are:

Driver Front: 41
Passenger Front: 41.5
Driver Rear: 41
Passenger Rear: 41

Tires are Cooper Discoverer STT PROs 275/65/20 on stock Laramie wheels.

My measurements with just the 2 inch level spacer were:
Driver Front: 39 1/8
Passenger Front: 39 3/8
Driver Rear: 39
Passenger Rear: 39

Here is how it sat with the 2 inch level spacer:

And here is with the 4" lift and Bils:

It started pouring rain right after I took those pics, so I will try to get some of the CV angles, etc tomorrow. The angles are kind of steep, but I don't think they're just awful.

Did you go with both spacers and bils at stock height?

I did. The only problem they had with the install was that there was a rear sway bar drop bracket missing. I’ve got the Hellwig sway bar with the adjustable end links, so they were able to move those out enough to make it work. I’ve emailed Readylift to have them send me the missing drop bracket, so once that comes in I’ll throw the brackets on and readjust the end links.

OK Cool I can't wait to see what your angels are. Hoping they are better than mine and if they are I am going to redo mine and use both spacers and lower the Bils to Stock.

Here is a pic of the passenger side CV angle. It's definitely at an angle, but with this being my first 4x4 truck, I have no idea what too steep of an angle would look like. How does this compare to what yours are at?

Tha'ts Great Thanks. It's funny in a couple pics your inner one looks the same as mine but your outer one looks alot better.

You have any vibration in 4WD?

Yeah I was thinking the same! Haven’t tried it in 4WD yet, but I’ve got to get back out in a little while so I’ll try it then and see what happens.

Haha nope! The two previous owners lived in Ky and I’m in TN, so not really any rust yet!

how do you like tenn?

I love it here. Been here all my life and can’t see going anywhere else unless mine or the wife’s job forces us to.

I didn’t go very far or very fast, but I did throw it in 4 auto, 4 lock and 4 low, and didn’t feel any vibration while in 4WD.

What does it matter how the lift is achieved (spacers/coilovers etc.), doesnt it all still **** with the axleshaft angle? If you get 2” of lift with just coilovers, or you use spacers instead, isnt the angle still the same?

Am I missing something?

Yes you’re missing a lot
A lot of math.... you have a lot of reading to do.
