hey guys i recently picked up a 45rfe(thats what i think it is correct me if wrong) it was out of a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with a 4.7 in it. My question is, is this the same tranny that is used in the dodge rams, durangos, and dakotas, with 4.7s? I just want to know before i put up a craigslist ad for it.

The first Hemi with that Trans came out in 03 so not sure if the Harness plug in is the same. If That is good then the tail unit is the second thing that needs to match but I am pretty sure the recieving vehicles Tail will need to bolt up to the rear for example 2WD is a straight Tail and the 4x4 Rams have the Transfer case included in the Tail, I would suggest listing it for the Vehicle it came out of and leave the compatability questions to the Buyer.

Edit: Sorry misread your question you specified 4.7. I'll leave my comments and let the 4.7 Guys charm in, My Mistake, Danny.

The 03-04 plugs are definitely the same.

The 45RFE was used in the 02 model year only in both the 3.7 and 4.7, from then on, they used the 545RFE trans on the 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7. The 45RFE had a 1st, 2nd, 2nd prime, 3rd and 4th gear...and the 545RFE has a 1st, 2nd, 2nd prime, 3rd, 4th and a 5th gear
