Not really sure what's going on.
First time this happened I had two very tired, weather-cracked (more than checked) tires in the bed of my truck this spring. I heard one "psssssss" and then another and assumed that the late afternoon sun had increased the pressure in the tires to the point is couldn't hold it any more.
However, it's happened at least a half dozen times since*, and not another one with janky tires in the bed. Which has lead me to suspect that it's to do with my 4-corner air suspension.
At least twice it's happened in the relatively early morning on my way to work (as it did this morning, at 60° after an 85° yesterday, which prompted me to make this post).
But it doesn't make sense that it's the 4CAS, because as I understand it's a closed system and uses Nitrogen, not ambient air. Unless there is some kind of defect in the system. By the way - I had a 2015 with the 4CAS and never noticed this ever.
*that I've heard - every single time has been when I've had the sliding rear window open.
