Is there one? The only thing I can find is the DetroitLocker, Yukon, type which requires R&R of carrier. I remember a type that simply removed spider gears and replaced them with a ratchet style locker.
Can the 5th gen rear diff, or other, be swapped in? Will the axles interchange to keep 5 bolt wheels?
I like to run it at the track once in a while and need better traction.
Thanks.

You can always add a used limited slip stock unit with the right gear ratio to your list.

I went with a TruTrac and it's been perfect. No noise, fast lockup, works great.

I don't think the 5th gen swaps over, but I'm not sure. @Wild one may know more

You dont want a mini-spool on a DD

Just go with the TruTrac

I’ve driven trucks with those “lunchbox lockers” that replace just the spider gears. They suck for DD on the street, not well mannered at all turning a corner on pavement.

They’re also reputed to be weak, because the locking mechanism has to fit in a very small spot.

I agree with previous comments, TrueTrac or any helical design is the best by far.

Another vote for the TruTrac.
I've taken my truck to the track a few times and I daily drive her as well. 100% recommended and worth the money.
P.s. Gorgeous truck! I may be a lil biased toward RCSBs... :)

@Racer9 be sure to check out Moe's Performance for the Trueteac differential, they are a forum sponsor. Trueteac offers a model specific for the ZF rear axles in the 2011 and newer Ram trucks.

Excellent!! Thanks guys.
I am aware of Moes, I got the Vararam intake from them, and am planning to get my ARH headers from them.
