I've just placed my order for the 9984 kit (4 springs and 2 rear shocks). Should I buy new front struts? My current struts are in okay shape with only about 20,000 miles on them but if I'm doing the install I was wondering if it's common to upgrade to bilsteins, KYB Excel G's or Monroe's, etc. I prefer a comfortable soft ride over excessively stiff.

Thanks

Stock struts do just fine as long as they're in good shape but it can simplify installation if you swap the entire strut with an aftermarket one with the new springs, but it's not necessary. If you did go with Bilsteins, use the 4600 series as the 5100 is a waste of money since you'll never use the extra height settings.

Thanks for the help, anyone else? If that's the case I will just save the $200-$300 and reuse my stock front struts.

Who'd you order through?

Summit, they price matched kmj performance and I applied a $20 coupon I had, was $731 plus shipping/duty which was another $140.
