My 07 1500 5.7 545rfe makes a whining, supercharger-sounding noise when the truck shifts into 4th gear at about 1300-1900 rpms. Pitch increases as rpm increases but goes away at around 2000 rpms. It does it a little bit in 3ed gear if rpms are low enough... very strange. Comes from passenger side. I have absolutely no idea what this could be. Someone said it could be the viscous clutch going out but it only does it at that speed in that rpm range. I'm not familiar with mechanical fans though. Another thought was passenger cat clogging but I would think it would throw a light or code
