I'll give them a call and get both an LSD and go ahead and get the gears while I'm talking to them

If you plan on making some power and drag racing it occasionally, bite the bullet an spring for a Detriot Tru Trac, the OEM limited slip is a little light duty if you're gonna run drag radials or slicks at the track. They definitely don't like water box burnouts and sticky tires.Matt at Moes can set you up with everything needed to install a Tru Trac unit in your ZF diff.

Hey W1, tell him like you told me, how he and his 6 speed 4.10 is going to get kicked to the curb by anyone with an 8/3.21 with 35” tires.

I recommend 4:56 gears if your ram is a 2009 or 2010. But you said you have the 6 speed so your front diff would need to be changed. Expensive, but gears are the absolute best mod for what you have.
I have a 2012 4x4 pretty sure it's 3.55, I'd like 4.10 and I only am running 32s.id like something more off the line but also won't suffer at high speeds

Ouvs, I was in the same boat as you. I guarentee you'd like 4.10s. You might lose mpg at speeds above 65 mph, but below 65, you lose little, or no mpg. With 4.10s, @ 55 mph, the truck shifts into 6th gear instead of holding in 5th. The rpm is exactly the same. 4.10s give much, much more than they take away.

But the fly in the ointment for you is the welded carrier in the front of your 12, which makes things a little more complicated. On my 11 it was pretty simple. I had a MOPAR LSD put in back while I was at it, and got away with a total bill of around $2200. But that's been over 5 years ago already. For me, it was a bargain. Money well spent.

Like I said, your 12 re-gear job is a little to it than mine. Tough call. Everybody's situation is a little different.

Stock 2016 1500 Hemi Express QC 4x4 35s. Best thing I ever did was get a pedal commander. What a difference in power and increase in MPGs. I drive back roads 30 miles one way to work and now I’m barely touching the throttle on the hills to maintain speed. Stock 3:21 gears and 8 speed trans and 32x12.50r20s in stock sport wheels and 2.5” lift.

DamnRam1500, are you running 32x12.50 or 35x12.50 ? I'm running 275/65/20 (34.5") and would love to get some sanity back at 70+. Trans keeps bouncing between 7th and 8th and MDS constantly kicking in and out. Were you having this problem before you got the pedal commander?
