I have a 2003 Ram 1500 with the 4.7L. I'd like to install a Mishimoto radiator in my 4.7, but they only make them for 04-08 Hemi 5.7 with the fill neck. 2003 trucks dont have the fill neck on the radiator.

Based on the specs i've seen, the 02-08, 4.7 and 5.7 radiator mounting points are the same. The major difference is the fill neck and cap on the radiator. And the pressurized expansion tank vs the overflow bottle.

What would be required to make a 5.7L radiator w/ a neck work in a 4.7L w/o a neck?

Can I run two pressure caps - one on the radiator and one on the expansion tank?

Is this more trouble than it's worth?

To answer my own question. I did some more research and realized that I can do this cleanly by:

1. Replacing the coolant reservoir with the 2004+ hemi reservoir

2. Replace a few coolant hoses (Dayco 87825). This eliminates the "T" hose that comes from the original 03 coolant reservoir

The fan shrouds appear to be the same part. After doing these things I'd have a everything I needed to just drop in the Mishimoto radiator.
