5 Speed/6 Speed Swap

Hey guys,

Newbie here..Just wondering if a 5 spd to a 6 spd swap is doable without it being a big deal. Will they bolt right up? what else has to be changed? ect..

Have a 2011 2500 Big Horn with the 5.7 and the 5 spd. Already starting to stick a little coming out of park and at times jumping into gear really quick when coming out of park. Only 48k on it.

The 5 and 6 speeds are the same transmission, the only difference was programming that allowed 6 gears.

There’s really not much to gain from the 5 to 6 speed. The 2nd prime gear that gets added is such a close ratio. Something like 1.67-1.50, it really won’t make much difference.
