How do you find the out put? Just wondering compared to some of the name brands sense it sells for less that 1/4 the price of them.

The output is actually awesome; Everyone who's seen it so far has been blown away, myself included.

It hard to capture it in photos, but i'll see if i can get a few pics to at least try and get the idea across.

It's a pretty clear night, so i decided to go ahead and get some photos right away. I did both Highway and Forest/Dirt Shots with all the different light modes; Low Beam, High Beam, 24" led, 50" led and All.

Highway:

Dirt/Forest:

Hope this helps!

Dude. That is awesome. If I ever wanted to scare someone to death in the middle of the night... I need to borrow your truck! That is more light than I will ever need. To bad I can't get this kind of results by putting one bar behind the grill.

Again nice job.

Thanks a lot man! Glad you like it! It's definitely capable of scaring the **** out of whoever decides not to flick off their high beams coming towards you at night, but that's only half the point. The highways here in N.L. are famous for moose/vehicle collisions, especially during the night, so you can never have too much light.

Looks Awesome - Mounting screws need to be black! lol

What are they actually mounted into?

The mounting screws would definitely be better black, but you cant see them gown in the rain gutters anyways.

They mount into 4 threaded 'gripserts', you drill two 3/8" holes in each of the rain gutters on the roof and pres in the gripserts. You then thread a bolt into the gripsert with two oversized nuts and a washer between it and the head of the bolt acting like a bearing. Tightening this bolt sandwiches the gripsert, causing it to swell out and places it permanently in your roof. The brackets then just bolt right on. If you, or anyone reading this has ever installed a DeeZee tailgate assist, its the exact same concept used for installing the lower shock mount onto your tailgate.

I really like the brackets you created. You could sell those...

I bought a 50" double LED bar from another forum member some time ago. It's been sitting in the box because I refuse to drill into the roof of a brand new truck. The NFAB mount seems to be the most popular type for Ram but no one really offers it for the 4th Gen trucks. What I really like is the CJC mount that rivets between the door and roof, under the weather stripping. The price is reasonable also but they haven't come out with one for the 4th Gen. What the heck are they waiting for, the 5th gen trucks to come out..??

Is there a way to mount a 50" bar to the roof without drilling into the body?

Curious as to how these light bars hold up compared to name brand? And if output is the same?

I think Yakima makes roof rack bars for 4th gens that basically grip the drip rails without drilling, and they are rated for a couple hundred pounds. Doesn't seem like it would be that tough to make a tube-mount setup to mount a light to them. They would set back a bit further, but it would worth a try for the drill-shy among us - myself included. They are sold as 4 or as pairs.

They look like this:

I'm curious about this bracket....it does t seem like it would hold up to off-roading beings how it "hugs" the frame. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I'm seeing it. And would any 50" bar work with those brackets?
