How bad does the 5100 hurt your CV when used with a 6' lift and 37s? I got an amazing deal on 37s so I am going with those.

You dont have to set them @ 2.8. the lower you go the better they will be on your CVs

I was told like 1.4 or 2.1. Ill have a 6' RC lift and a 1' TG spacer in the rear.

Depends on what you set them on and what size drop bracket you have with your lift.

Many are running them, including myself, but I have also broken a CV on the beach...it puts stress on the CV but in most cases you will be fine. As you can see, I'm still running them.

Pro Comp uses a larger drop bracket than RCX, only reason why mine are still maxed. Mine are the equivalent of a 2" level kit.

Great! will I have any issues with the 37' toya 13.5 with 20x10 wheels? The shop is really hesitent with adding any lift to the lift kit. Thats why I wanted to check about the height I should use with the shocks.

It depends on the lift you go with.
I had mine at 2.1 before and now have them at 1.4 and could not be any happier.

With a 6" RCX lift, you can run them at 1.4" and have plenty of room for 37s.

Providing you have the right offset rim as you will rub if you as an example run 20x10, -24 offset and 13.5" wide tires.
I know, cause I had a dremel out shortly after....lol

But I had 20x9, 0 offset and 12.5" tires and it wasn't even close

Damn! I got a great deal for 37 13.5 r 20 and 20x10 wheels with either a -12 or -24 offeset. I just really dont want to break my CVs but also dont want trimming. I was thinking that I could use this tire/wheels deal and have no rubbing issues and set it at 2.1 and CVs should be good. Wrong?

At 2.1 there will be minor trimming required and I hope you have the plastic bumpers as its easier to fix. This is considering the - 24 offset.
What model 1500 do you have?
Again, you may not even want to trim as it will only and possibly rub at full lock
Many here don't do anything and love with it

I have the ST. Should I just suck it up and get the the Nittos or can I get the 13.5 with a 20x9 wheel?

The 20x9, 0 offset will help greatly and doubt you'll rub on 6" and 2.1
