I would go 40" if you are going with the 6"3" if possible, by the way your truck already looks like what I want mine to look like ... nice truck my Man ...
That would be a 110+ pound tire on a 1500 front end. The weight along with the 15.5” width and I’m not sure how good that would be on a truck I like to drive a lot....and then it would require one hell of a re-gear. And with the size of our diffs and running gears in the 5.XX range don’t they become prone to breaking if you could even accomplish that?

Basically I’m not sure how it would work on my truck unless I just liked to park it in the driveway and look at it because I have a feeling those tires would break a lot of components on our trucks without a complete drivetrain overhaul.

With re-gearing, the parts is not the expensive part of the invoice.... It's the labor.

Labor is still only $120 with my mechanic and pretty much everyone else around here ... so you are still looking at around $600 or less ...

Well I myself finally decided that I am going to stick with the 7" MaxTrac with 38"s and a tuner. The shop where I am going to get it done recommended me to stick with 38"s or lower and that way I won't have to re-gear. With the tuner everything should go back to normal with just a slight change overall. I talked to 5 different shops and they all said the same thing. I asked about re-gearing to be able to slap some 40"s but they all said with 38"s I won't need to re-gear.

So 38"s it is! By the way, I did drive a 1500 they had at one of the shops with 38"s which they just got done and they guy was picking it up, the truck moved just like mine. So that really convinced me to go with the 38"s ....

Yeah but it's also a 2010 with only 5 speeds right ?

The 3:21 with 8 speed makes quite a difference my Man ... I just drove another 1500 with 40s and 3:21s with a Diablo tuner and I have to say that I was pretty impressed ... yes there was noticeable power loss but on the highway and acceleration was still plenty strong ....

But yes, I know I will definitely feel it with 38s though no doubt about it ...

Honestly I wish I could swap gears to 456 and I’d throw 37s on and not question anything. If I could find some 37s that weighed under 80lbs that is..

I just feel like I’m already stretching it with a 325/60 which I’ve been looking at on the custom offsets website....and they do look better than the 35x12.5s with bigger lift heights but they’re not quite as filling as 37s.

Here’s my buddies truck at work, he has a 6” lift, 325’s on 20x10. My wheels are just 9” wide but should give you a comparison to a 37

Ok this is a good comparison ..not much difference !
I don’t know.....I see a big difference in the way they look. The 37 in a 12.5 width looks very skinny in comparison but it’s definitely a little taller though.

Hard to say. I think 37x13.5 would now be my ideal tire but that’s not happening on this 1500 in any shape or form.

Yes i have a 5 speed. 8 speeds get up and go is better because it has a very short first gear. Overdrive is the same. (Highway cruising) thats where 3:21 fall on their face. A 38 is a big tire. I just put a set on mine.

I think that solidifies my decision that the 325s will work for me. I like the width of them and they’re definitely a little taller than my current 35s. Kind of a good mix.

Great, it is a nice size tire and perfect for a 10” wide wheel.
