Just finished lifting my truck and putting new wheels and tires on it. Now the truck is starting to drift on its own a little to the left and right almost like it’s on marbles and usually when I’m turning the wheel. Has anyone experienced this issue that may be able to help troubleshoot? I took some pictures here of my truck and the plates. also a friend of mine was looking at it last night and we’re wondering if these plates should be seated left to right instead of up and down in the groove like it shows on the installation pictures also attached.

Lifts are not my area, but I'm happy to save you some time.

Please provide the make, model and size of the tires.
Tire pressures used.
Where were they load-force balanced?
What brand of UCA was used?
Who completed the 4-wheel alignment after the lift?

.

If you just got new wheels and tires and don't have your pressures dialed in yet, too high of pressure will make you feel like you're floating around on gravel. If it's doing it on pavement though, I would be leaning towards alignment.

Hey there, from looking at pics, the bolts holding the drop x- member in place shouldn't be allowed to more side to side. I agree with your friend.

It does state the cam block off plates should be installed with the two notches on the top and outside. Yours are certainly not. Not sure that would be causing your issue, though. Sounds to me like it is probably an alignment issue.

Seeing how the installers didnt get something as simple as the orientation of the cam block off plates correct…kinda makes me wonder what else may be done incorrectly? It looks like they installed one of the bolts backwards too (should be installed from the back side).
