6.4 has a misfire

I had a Range device on my 2015 GMC. It worked well. Sold when I went with a Tune.

GsRam, I understand what your saying. But I would see a mileage jump when it was on, but you know if they put a transmission in these things that had good ratios, then it would probably have a better mileage benefit than the MDS anyway.

Haha that’s what I was going to say. They can tune engine, better tranny and gears and achieve the same thing without then gimmic of MDS.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on the Range MDS Manager. The most current RAM they support is a 2011 according to their web site.

Why bother with some device to turn off your MDS when all you have to do is push the little button on the shifter. Once you enter into "manual mode" from the shifter it disables MDS. One button, one second of your time when you first get in your truck.

GOOD NEWS!!!


I got my truck back this afternoon Ramily.
They said it was the MDS module and so they replaced 2 of them.
Truck runs and drives great. It has to go through the adaptive learning process again.
I did discover too that after extensive explanation of the PC that the tech decided to play/test its capabilities.
As it was set on sport + and #4. I always keep it on city #3.
That doesn’t bother me at all. Maybe that tech will go buy himself one. My service advisor said he was going to get one.
I gave him Nick @gotexhaust and Matt @moesperformance
Both websites.
I’m sure he’s going to get one.
They did confirm that the PC has nothing to do with the motor just as I had told them.
I’m glad as Hell I got my Blue Mule back.
