Sorry I had to do it.
I expect 11-12 city no towing. IS that fair?
89 octane only
top tear gas dot com quality only

Sound about right?

Should be doable. I am averaging 12.0 in my 2018 with 4.10's and you have the 8 speed so in town should be slightly better. I get about 16.5 on the highway at about 65-70

City, yea thats a good expectation. Would expect much better than that with normal highway type driving, though.

Accurate. I'd say I get about 13 mpg city with my 19 6.4 4.10 long bed 4x4 crew cab.

If I had to rate mine it would be 12 city, 17 highway. My first few thousand miles were a little low but as the engine has broken in it has really improved. Last few thanks have been 14.1 combined with lots of off pavement driving.

Mines got a utility body and weighs 8700 lbs. I'm getting 12-13 combined with highway speeds of 70+ and get 15-16 combined if I keep it 55-60mph. Personally, I'm ecstatic about these numbers because my last truck with a 6.0 diesel never once in 270k got better than 12mpg

Drove from Pittsburgh to Chatacqua Lake at Bemus Point. About 300 miles round trip. Filled it when we left and filled again when we got back. Cruise was set at about 69 almost the whole way and there was about 30-40 miles of in town driving. EVIC read 18.4 but hand calculated was 16.8. Just me and my wife in it and not towing or hauling anything. This was the first 'long' road trip we have done in it. I had it manually in 6th the whole way so no MDS

This was taken on the way home while driving. 2018 2500 6.4 4x4 CCSB 4.10's Off-Road Outdoorsman

I did a little field trip last weekend. A couple hundred miles with mixed roads. Highway at 72 mph, country roads and villages. Averaged 14.2. Truck is a regular cab 2020, 6.4 /4.10 with 1800 miles on it. I had a 14' Ram set up the same as the 20'. The new truck appears to be 1 to 1.5 mpg better. I have not towed with it yet, thanks to Covid.

Since we're sharing MPGs...

This was what I showed round trip from CO to CA back to CO...

Rocky Mountains and all...

To be honest, not all that concerned with MPGs on my truck. If I were worried about MPGs, I'd buy a Prius or some other nutless car.

No thanks.

Don't waste your $ on 89 octane. 87 is perfectly fine. I'm getting 12.5 -13,5 mpg so far.

I’ve been averaging 12 to 13 in my 2020 with 6.4 and 4.10’s running the cheapest 87 octane I can find. I also have 35 inch tires. I saw around 16.5 mph on recent road trip. About what I expected when I bought the truck.

MPG gets a lot better as these trucks break in. I put in another coast trip this weekend. Tank down was 15.5 speed limit the whole way with a strong head wind part of the way. Tank back was 13.1 with 50 miles of beach driving and cruising at 5 to 10 over.

This truck averages about what my old Tacoma 4.0 6 speed manual averaged with slightly oversized tires. I’m very happy with it.

Not knocking the Ford 7.3 gas but heard they get dismal gas mileage, less than the 6.4 Hemi.

I tow so never check gas mileage. Lol

Ford gas mileage has always been the worst of the 3 in my experience. My 1979 GMC 1/2 ton got better mileage than any of my Ford trucks (1990 F150, 1992 F150, 1991 F250 and 1994 F250). My 1990 with a 302 got 9. My F250's got 8. The best one was my 1992 and that got about 11. The 2 F150s had 5.0's. But the 1990 and 1994 both needed new engines with less than 50,000 on them.

I get about 10 to 12mpg. But I have 35inch MTs. Commute around 80 miles a day.

City driving can mean lots of things, are we talking inner city Dallas, or a city of 50k?

I live in Little Rock, AR about 2.3 miles from my office. Going to the office it's mostly uphill with 8 red lights. I get about 9-10 mpgs with my 3.73s. To be honest my EcoBoost f150 only got 11-12 doing the same thing.

My fuelly average is 13.1 including some trips to the lake and to camp.
