I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the 6.7. I have 117000 miles on it. I have never noticed any thing that says it is in regen. I do a lot of heavy towing with it. Haven’t had any problems with it. Was wanting to know if there was a gauge or light that would let me know if it was in regen. I average around 22000 gross weight. When traveling interstate I cruse around 75 and stop at rest area and have never noticed anything noticeable about it . Any help would be appreciated.

There is no native notification or gauge that will tell you it is in regen, but trust me it has done many. The only time a 4th gen will get a message is if the DPF is full (a bad thing) keep on trucking, it is doing fine with how you are using it.

Yep. No regen light to see. As mtnrider said though.... it has absolutely regen'ed quite a few times. As long as you don't get the service emission system message you're all good.

I have the same problem or issue. Mine is a 2017. It did throw an engine light the other day took it to dealer they said I could put it into a forced regen which we done. It cleared the engine light when done. 1st time in 7 years. ?????

When towing my RV, which really pushes the truck hard it never regens. Since I have done some commuter trips lately and not towing anything it has done two regens recently. First clue something is happening is the truck smells really hot. Go thru the DIC menu and where the DPF filter percentage is normally it will state "regen in progress".
