Good evening. I just ordered a replacement ABS Ctrl Module. Next on my list is ordering the OBDLink MX+ and of course, AlfaOBD. Just out of curiosity, when your ABS Control Module took a crap, did it affect your power steering and speedometer as well? I can't believe how hard it was to find a replacement, let alone how many 4th gen Rams have an ABS Control Mod issue. So aside from this and exhaust manifold hardware, are there any other issues I should be aware of? I love the truck but cant believe the level of quality escapes. I have owned the truck since 2017 (2015 Ram 1500 Sport, 5.7L Hemi Crew Cab) and never thought there would be these kinds of problems. I figure fixing the truck is cheaper than buying a new one...although fixing the truck and giving it to my son so I can buy a newer Ram does sound tempting.

I ran into an ABS issue on my ’18 Ram 1500 a while back and ended up replacing the pump assembly. If anyone else is dealing with the same ABS light/brake assist problems, I found an OEM replacement that worked well for me. It’s for 2017–2020 Ram 1500 models, and the fit was spot-on. The pricing was reasonable compared to what the dealer wanted, and the part came clean and ready to install.

Here’s the one I used in case it helps someone else:
