I'm thinking about getting Maxtrac's 7" lift and throwing some 20x12's on it and don't want to have to worry about rubbing issues.
If anyone is running a 6"+ lift with 33's please post pics

It will make your tires look very small!!! Can't post pics from work, sorry, or I would show you my 6" lift when I had my stock 33s.

Thats why I'm asking for pictures lol
If it makes a difference, which I'm pretty sure it does, mines a 2wd. I've never seen a lifted 4th gen 2wd in person but in pictures they look smaller than a 4x4 with a level.

I have an 05 2wd lifted 6", 20x10 motos with 33" nittos. 33's can look good if you have an aggressive enough tread pattern. I don't think they look too bad.

They'll look too small on the truck man! here's what 33's look like compared to 35's with a 5" lift. Your's would be 1" higher than mine

This looks great man,
you other guys have 4wd's so I can't really go off of what yalls look like, great looking trucks tho :favorites13:

I'm hoping the 20x12's with the wide stance will even out the balance and not make it look to tall

Okay so I just went over to the customwheeloffsets gallery and was looking around and yeah, it definitely looks fine on a 2wd, here's a few pics of what I found with 33's

Here's a 2wd with a 7" (not even sure if I believe it) on 20x14's

Another 2wd with a 4" on 22x12

4wd with only a level on 20x12

I knew the 4wd and 2wd had a difference when it came to lifts but holy cow its an extreme difference!

I only have the 4.5" with 3" rear coil kit and 35's. I would imagine 33's will look small with a 7". I would say you could get away with 33's on my lift with a wider wheel but I think 7" will leave a big gap.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426013983.031362.jpgheres mine if this helps. It's a 2wd. I did the 4" CST spindle lift with a 2" spacer up front and the 1.5" coil spacer in rear. Wheels and tires are stock and 33". ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426014058.434803.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1426014068.580034.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1426014077.513282.jpg

I had a 4" CST lift on my 09 2wd (4" spindles and 4" spacers in the rear) the 33's looked really small. I put 34" terra grapplers on and it made a huge difference. Sorry i don't have a close up of the pic but it's the truck on my avatar.

That actually looks really good man, and with my plan of running 12 wides I think it will definitely NOT look too small.

I'm looking at buying these, they're only $360 and that doesn't include the brake lines, but it would still come out cheaper than Maxtrac's and CST's version. Should I try these? Or just fork out the extra mula for the name-brand stuff.

Edit: Do you have to replace the shocks when doing a spindle lift? I plan on doing the 4.5" spindle lift now and adding a coil spacer in the future.

I got the 4" spindles and the extended brake lines and the 1.5" rear coil spacer for $783. I went onto CST website, clicked on the dealer tab, then clicked to online dealers and went onto performance suspension. That's where I found it for that cheap. I'm still running all stock shocks and springs. The only thing is that if you wanna go over a 1.5 in spacer in the rear you would have to get a longer shock, or and longer spring and shock with no spacer. As far as up front it all stock besides the spindle, and spacer with new brake lines. Installation was easy as well. Took me and my dad about half a day for the front, and about 30 mins to do the rear spacer.

Awesome man, this is exactly what I needed. I have spring break next week so it looks like a good time to work on the truck

Btw did you have to run wheel spacers after the lift with the stocks on?

No sir. And no rubbing issues at all. I ran into that too when trying to buy mine is that everyone told me it wouldn't work I couldn't lift it and keep stock rims and tires on, but I called CST and asked them, they said no and were right. Plenty of clearance with no spacers.

This was back when i had my 6'' CST right before I put on the wheels and tires. Looks pretty goofy. If it were a wide aggressive tire it might look a little better, but i still wouldnt do it.

Those with 2WD CC's that have lifted and went to 35-37's, have you had to change your gears?

I want to do this same lift and combo and am curious.

Great pics to all btw.

Not to get off topic, but does anyone know what the lightest weight MT tire is? I want an agressive tire that won't kill my fuel economy or power.
